机子是 X2 5000+，2G，精英 A780G 主板，hd5450 卡，philips 190SW9。安装 13.1 默认的开源驱动一看到桌面后就死机了，只能关闭电源。可以从安全模式进入系统，但开源驱动还是不能启用 open gl，安装官方源里的闭源驱动后有些 openGL 桌面特效仍然无法启动。
老机就不追求特效了，但是我只给 / 分了 10G 空间（另分了 home 存数据），如果用闭源驱动空间就不太够了（9G 多，开源时 7G 左右），所以我还是想用开源驱动，麻烦各位给出出主意，先谢谢了。

我们只能帮你调试开源显卡看到桌面就死机的问题。闭源显卡只有 ATI 自己有办法。你这种要求抱歉满足不了，你只能用 google 去英文搜索比如“ ati, hd5450, brightness" 这样的关键字看有没有 workaround。

同文件夹下还有个 50-fglrx.conf 文件，内容就一行

我刚刚又把源里的闭源驱动删除了，重启后在恢复模式里又重新安装了一遍，这是最新的
现在把 /etc/modprobe.d/50-fglrx.conf 文件改成这样：

然后重启去黑屏。遇到黑屏之后，按 Ctrl + Alt + F1 切换到 tty 登录
sudo cp -r /var/log/Xorg.0.log ~/xorg.log
sudo vi /etc/modprobe.d/50-fglrx.conf
按 i 进入编辑模式，把内容再改成
blacklist radeon
按 :wq 保存。然后重启，这次不会黑屏，然后把用户主文件夹下的 xorg.log 传上来。
安装私有驱动不行么？

对了，改文件重启后不是黑屏，是白花花的，也进不了 tty，我又重启了一次进入修复模式，才复制的 log 文件

不是，硬盘的最后面分了三个区，分别挂 swap /home , 和 Windows 7 组的双系统。

这是恢复模式才会有的 grub2 引导选项。
建议你在黑屏后把：
/var/log/Xorg.0.log
/var/log/Xorg.0.log.old
/var/log/Xorg.1.log
只要有的全部发出来。
